HAXBY

     Haxby Town is a pleasant suburb, four miles north of York.  It has a thriving community centre; a number of local shops and two supermarkets plus two pubs - the Tiger Inn & the Red Lion; along with four banks and two schools. There is a public library, facilities include a local sports field with tennis courts and a pavilion. There is also a modern health centre and an ambulance station along with various other health services: chiropractic, dental, and alternative therapies etc.
